Notice of Vacancy on the Board of Trustees
The Town of Simla is seeking interested residents to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees.
This appointment provides an opportunity for a community-minded resident to serve the citizens of Simla and participate in decisions that guide the future of our town.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a registered elector of the Town of Simla.
- Have resided within the Town of Simla for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the appointment.
- Remain a resident of the Town of Simla throughout their term of office.
- Meet all qualifications required under Colorado law for municipal elected officials.
Term of Appointment
The individual appointed by the Board of Trustees will serve until the next regular municipal election in April 2028, at which time the position will be placed on the ballot for election to the remainder of the term, if applicable.
Duties of a Trustee
Trustees attend regular board meetings, participate in policy discussions, review municipal budgets and ordinances, and help make decisions that impact the Town of Simla and its residents.

Deadline
Applications will be accepted until Tuesday, November 3 2026 @ 4:30 pm.
The Board of Trustees will review applications and may conduct interviews prior to making an appointment.
